Lessons by the Shore – Captivated!

Ok, here’s another Lesson by the Shore that brought back a bittersweet memory …

Captivated – 2009

I was at the beach this morning with my daughter, Leanna. Now Leanna, like many 3 year olds, is rarely still. But today I watched her sit in the sand and play and play and play. For a girl who almost never sits, this was extraordinary. She was captivated, utterly mesmerized by her surroundings  She was content to just sit in the sand.  She was satisfied.

Have you met with the God of the universe today? Have you been captivated by His love recently? Just as sitting in the sand satisfied my Leanna, so sitting with Jesus can satisfy you. Psalm 90:14 says, “You will satisfy us in the morning with your unfailing love.” Find your satisfaction and contentment in Him today. Take a few moments to just sit and let His love captivate you.
