Grab Some Faith!

I have something so exciting to tell you! The September/October edition of Faith Magazine is out, and you need to get a copy. It’s easy! Now here’s reason #1 I’m so excited about this:

God dropped an incredible opportunity in my lap. Less than three months ago my friend Blanche contacted me and said she wanted to meet with me about something. I met Blanche about three years ago when I served on the Just Give Me Jesus Augusta leadership team. I love Blanche! She has such a love for God’s Word and passion for revival it’s contagious! Anyway, we met and she asked me if I would consider co-writing an on-going series with her in Faith Magazine called, Hearts in the Word of God. I was floored! You see, I had been praying and asking God to show me whether or not this writing dream was something He really had for me or if it was just something I conjured up in my own mind.

I was basically asking God to help me make sure that what I was doing with regard to writing was from Him. I mean, I don’t ever remember asking God to give me a desire to write or blog. But I really wanted to make sure it was what HE had for me and not just something I had for myself. So … I continued to seek God about it. My prayers would always be something like …

God, if You want me to continue writing, then I ask You to continue to give me a burning desire to do so and also please give me a few subscribers to my blog so I know what I write is of value to some people. BUT … if writing isn’t what You have for me, take the desire away, PLEASE!!

Well, God didn’t take the desire away, but He did give me another way to use my gift to express His love and encouragement to others and to expand my audience. He gave me the opportunity to write for a magazine! I never in  my wildest dreams thought of that one!

I will tell you this too … it has been super fun doing it! I invite you to check out the article when you get a chance (It’s on page 26!). It’s called The Search Is Over and it’s based on John chapter 5.

Ok, so here is reason #2 that I’m excited about all of this:

Not only did God give me the honor of writing the article on John 5, He also gave me the opportunity to co-lead an Online Bible Study with Hearts in the Word of God along with Blanche.

Every Monday morning beginning September 8 for eight weeks, YOU can join us for an in-depth look at John 5. It’s going to be so much fun!!
