Galatians 4:4-6
But when the fullness of time had come, God sent forth his Son, born of woman, born under the law, to redeem those who were under the law, so that we might receive adoption as sons. And because you are sons, God has sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, crying, “Abba! Father!” So you are no longer a slave, but a son, and if a son, then an heir through God.
In the fullness of time … what a wonderful phrase. So much promise, hope, and security rests in those few words of extravagant love. I am grateful for “the fullness of time,” aren’t’ you? In the fullness of time … Jesus. Jesus came. Love overflowing to us from a manger came for you and for me. Redemption … seeping through the blanket of a beautiful baby boy whose purpose was to ransom mankind. Thank You, Jesus!
Precious Jesus, I am so thankful that through You I am an heir to God. Because You came, lived, died, rose from the dead, and sent His spirit, I can call God my Father – thank you! Thank You for coming and living and loving. Thank You for teaching and training and leading. Thank You for being patient and kind and loving even when I fail. Thank You, Jesus. Amen.
Thankful …
