Habakkuk 3:17-19
Though the fig tree should not blossom, nor fruit be on the vines,
the produce of the olive fail and the fields yield no food,
the flock be cut off from the fold and there be no herd in the stalls,
yet I will rejoice in the Lord; I will take joy in the God of my salvation.
God, the Lord, is my strength; he makes my feet like the deer’s; he makes me tread on my high places.
Oh the joy that comes from the Lord! No matter the circumstance, the trials, the highs or lows, there is always room for joy where Jesus resides. To take delight in Him is to remember the salvation that He was born to bring. Rejoice! Take time to rejoice in the God of your salvation today!
Giver of joy, author of salvation, I praise You on this tenth day of Advent. Thank You for giving me an understanding of who You are. The ways You have shared with me, the lessons you have taught me, and the things You have experienced with me have given me the tools necessary to walk out my faith in every day, real life. Help me to continue to see the right way and find joy in Your presence. In Jesus’ name, amen.
