As some of you may know, I have been wanting to publish a book for sometime now. A book not only about my personal testimony, but about how the Lord has shown Himself and His attributes in every stage of my life. He has guarded and guided me not only on the sunny days, but also on the stormy ones. He has been ever-present when I’ve been tossed about by the waves and even taken under.
This summer I submitted a proposal to a literary agent I met at the Allume Conference last year. This book dives deep into a time in my life when I thought I may never swim above the waves again, much less walk on water. But … through it all, I have come to understand how God used every situation to refine me for my good and His glory.
Below is the video that accompanied my written proposal. Take a few minutes to listen to my heart behind my book, Dancing In the Rain. I hope you will join me on this journey in one (or more) of the following ways:
- Pray for me as I write
- Share this post with a friend who may need some encouragement
- Share your Dancing in the Rain stories with me (Click here to do that)
- Subscribe to my blog and follow me in this journey
- Follow me on Facebook, Twitter, and/or Instagram

I am so so proud of you! Just incredibly proud. I remember sitting with you at Allume during the open mic time (where I had no voice). I wish we could have talked more if my voice could have cooperated. It has been a joy getting your emails this past year. My story resonates with yours. I would love to share it with you. I praise Him for your courage and your planning ways, so that you can tell your story. Really His story through your life.
xoxo,
Lita
PS-I shared one part of my story as a guest writer. I will email it to you!
Lita,
Thank you so much for the encouragement! I’m so excited to go on this journey. My prayer is that God will be glorified in this story and that it will be a comfort and inspiration to other women! I would LOVE to read your guest post.
Hugs,
Jacqueline
